Think about all of the unaware and privileged Caucasian Americans. And yes, the blacks are making money too. We know Oprah, Russell Simmons, The Carters, Birdman, Puff Daddy, Master P., and Rihanna are filthy rich. But, notwhite man rich. We even have wealthy blacks who aren’t entertainers. Yes, one could say it is a good time, financially, for blacks in America. But, not good enough. Contrary to the prosperous–for–all days we live in, there is still a vast amount Caucasians who just…don’t…fucking…get it!
One of them says to you,
“I mean it’s 2017! We had a black president for eight damn years! That’s incredible, right? I even voted for him. You all have the same opportunities as us now. Things have changed. I mean there’s still police brutality, but who doesn’t hate cops. Other than that, what is it…that…black people want, exactly? What would make everything right?”
Here’s TheAnswer:
Recognition of our importance to this world!
To be respected.
To be appreciated.
To have equal opportunities in all things.
For you to not stare with paralyzing fear in your eyes as we walk by.
To be welcomed.
To be paid like the rest of you.
To have access to the generational money, still being passed down, yet created off of slavery.
To have our lost records recovered.
To have our true culture recovered.
Rights to the land our people worked and died on!
To not have our beauty and style stolen.
To not have our natural beauty disregarded.
To be able to wear our natural hair without your concern.
For you to not profit from the black beauty industry.
To not be killed for our precious organs.
To not be treated as mascots.
For you to respect our intelligence.
For you to stop enabling our downfalls with welfare.
To be giving a fair chance!
For you to stop using ‘medicine’ to exterminate us and our children.
For you to admit that you not only keep the drugs penetrating, but you buy them from us.
To not be used to push your agendas.
To not be looked at as different for liking rock and country music. We created it.
The government to be truly diverse, ethnically, continuously.
For you to admit that Jesus was black and recognize this in your visual art.
For you to stop bullying us at work with your corporate–white–manmanipulation!
The freedom to use any dialect we choose and not be deemed as ignorant.
To be loved openly for the person we are, not for the color of our skin or our God given abilities.
For you to stop imprisoning up every black man who fails. We need them and you know it!
For you to make it so our caged men are free and able to rehabilitate.
That about covers it.
